The movie poster features the typography of the movie title «Fall,» which captures the nostalgia and childhood memories of Vadim Kostrov’s. In a paper collage style that resembles a child’s playful artwork, elements of the city of Nizhny Tagil—such as a factory with a chimney, a traffic light, pine trees, and a winding road—are created from paper cutouts and crayon textures. The simple shapes and bright colors reflect how childhood memories can often feel fragmentary yet full of emotion. The poster invites viewers to look back at the world through the eyes of a child, where the industrial city and nature come together in a warm and melancholic memory that reflects the process of growing up.

[5] Fifth Alternative Poster

The film poster depicts Nizhny Tagil in a child’s doodle style with bright colors, yet conveys the contrast between innocence and the grimmer realities of adulthood. Elements such as factories, traffic lights, houses, and trees represent everyday life in the city of Nizhny Tagil, while tanks and chimneys reflect the tensions and social changes during a time of transition. In Vadim Kostrov’s Fall (Осень), this poster captures the melancholy, transitions, and tensions between childhood and adulthood in a child’s drawing.

[6] Sixth Alternative Poster

The movie poster features a collage of elements from the film as a representation of memory fragments in the city of Nizhny Tagil. The figure of little Kostrov stepping on a pedestrian sign symbolizes the journey of a ten-year-old child seeking direction amidst the changing times. Fragments of oil-painted illustrations such as traffic signs, industrial chimneys, tank monument, sunflowers, rocks, brick walls and sunset landscapes, force the audience to enjoy the scope, atmosphere and memory fragments in the film rather than watching the film’s plot clearly with some dialogue. This poster captures the feeling of each passing memory fragment, the inevitable changes, and the search for meaning in childhood that should have lasted.
