SS'25 EXPERECTUS Collection
The summer collection EXPERECTUS was not just a creative challenge for designer Yannis Chamalidi, but also a deep philosophical study («Experectus» from Latin «awakened»). The collection is like a modern man who lives between the past, present and future. The heroes of the collection are futuristic wanderers who exist between worlds: between the real and the virtual, between the past and the future. Their images are a mixture of classics and avant-garde, where hoods flow into vests, and brocade coexists with matte cotton. The play with textures combines the incompatible: transparent organza with grunge cage, plastic mesh with polymers. The color palette of the collection is a dialogue between nature and technology. Pink is the color of the rose, a symbol of femininity and energy, and the color of spices is a shade that awakens, reminds of traditions and at the same time leads to the future.
One of the key themes of the collection was transformation. These items are easily adaptable to different looks: one item can be classic and avant-garde at the same time. Laser cut, three-dimensional constructions, innovative materials emphasize the figure, make it elegant and modern. Long lines of trousers, hoods, gathered shoulders — all this creates a feeling of infinity, lightness and freedom, inspired by the Russian avant-garde, the works of Malevich and Rodchenko, where geometry and form become art.
