Russian brand Vereja presented a new collection, the main theme of which was carved window frames. Window frames are not just decorative elements on windows, but also powerful amulets. In popular belief, they protected the house from evil spirits. In Vereja’s interpretation, window frames turn into knitted patterns, in which traditional birds and curls give way to the brand’s heroes — Bukash and Chihpok. The second important theme is the recycling of old clothes, inspired by the tradition of creating knitted rugs. This motif appears in accessories, dresses, skirts and even coats, where the yarn is obtained from recycled items. The collection is also marked by a new solution for the brand — for the first time, black appears in it. Under the influence of mysterious cosmic energy, «Venom» enters Vereja’s magical creatures: previously bright and playful characters are now dressed in black, creating an atmosphere of mystical fun. Illustrations by Dima Chimadayka play a special role in the visual component of the collection. The looks are complemented by spectacular jewelry created in collaboration with Pisarev: massive plastic bracelets, tiaras, a dog mask, and jewelry with Chihpak.
