Handicrafts Research Center studies the history, traditions and current state of folk arts and crafts, initiates
and produces projects and collaborations on the topic of folk crafts and offers ideas for rethinking and
developing folk art crafts in the current context. Our project portfolio is an encyclopedia of folk crafts,
which provides a detailed context and background information, helps to attract potential partners, discover
how modern designers see the topic and in what directions they want to work with folk crafts, increases
the level of awareness and degree of interest of contemporary and future designers in studying crafts.
