Sasha is scared
Sasha is a budding Russian performer. Little is known about her beyond her name—Sasha. Sasha became passionate about writing music during her teenage years, and she writes all the lyrics herself.

All of Sasha’s creative work revolves around the theme of fear. The performer herself considers herself a very anxious person. Any setback or sideways glance can throw her off balance. In her tracks, she sings about the emotions that overwhelm her every day and about her attempts to overcome constant anxiety. She is terrified of feelings of uncertainty, the future, and societal judgment. From the lyrics, it might seem like the young woman has accepted her fears and has been completely conquered by them. But no one knows what is truly going on—Sasha’s biggest fear is actually uploading her songs online. Thus, while the young woman sings about her fears, she is simultaneously battling them.

The singer never posts photos of her face online. She usually covers it with her hand, or intense overexposure prevents viewers from making out her features. She does not answer public inquiries about the reasons, but it is easy to guess that she fears judgment about her appearance and the unveiling of her personal identity.
This is dark, atmospheric, and hypnotic music featuring deep, dense bass and a slow, slightly broken rhythm. The sound combines dry, gritty drums and somber synthesizer textures, creating a sense of tension and mystery. Whispering, fractured female vocals add intimacy, a touch of detachment, and sensuality. The music evokes restrained energy, hidden anxiety, and weariness. It inspires a feeling of introspection, mild unease, and a simultaneous tranquil trance.
1. The future does not exist
A lament of the fear of the future, and the disbelief in a positive outcome for oneself. The lyrical protagonist experiences the futility of repeatedly trying to improve her life. She is tired of trying and has resigned herself to a sorrowful ending. The chorus can be perceived simultaneously as coming from the heroine or from the future itself.
2. It is too bright in this city
A song about the fear of societal judgment. The lyrical heroine has endured much criticism and is afraid of repeating that experience. Now, she tries to hide and become invisible. The track repeatedly features lines suggesting that often, due to criticism and gossip, a person’s image and reputation change not only in the eyes of others but also within themselves. They begin to believe their own words and lose their true selves.
3. Come to the Evening
The lyrical heroine of the song walks along a road but cannot find her way. Around her, there awaits only the unknown future, a lost past, present anxieties, and someone else’s happiness that she cannot touch. The heroine dreams of stopping herself from «seeing» these paths and surrendering to fate, as she realizes that currently, no scenario suits her. What frightens her most is uncertainty and the responsibility of the decisions she makes, so she prays for oblivion—for only then will she retain the hope that happiness, in principle, exists in this world.
Sasha is scared—a project about the constant struggle against one’s own fears. The singer’s songs are filled with a sense of complete hopelessness, loneliness, and uncertainty.
