The Zine «Reflections of Reality» explores the transposition of fiction as a phenomenon into the practical world.
I explore reflections, shadows, and highlights in my zines as an artificial and more everyday form of fantasy. When the characteristics of one object are superimposed onto another—such as when a neighboring building is reflected in a puddle—two objects merge into a single image composed of the traits of two completely different things. In this phenomenon, I see a connection to human imagination, where the brain generates something new based on pre-existing images.
