Experimental investigation of anxiety and derealization through sound. Using a modular synthesizer, I convey a sense of detachment, disorientation, and distorted perception of reality through noise, rhythm, and unstable sonic textures.

The patch is built on principles of drone ambient: Plaits and Kickall generators create the sonic foundation, while sequencers and random CV modulations control changes in timbre, pitch, and rhythm. Plateau filters, modulators, and reverb form sustained, multi-layered sound textures, generating an atmosphere of tension, instability, and spatial disorientation.
