Kyrgyzstan is a state in Central Asia.
Over 70% of Kyrgyzstan’s territory is mountainous. The country is situated within two major mountain ranges. Its northeastern section lies within the Tian Shan, and its southwestern section is within the Pamir-Alai. A nomadic culture historically developed here, where the journey, the path, and the companion are key concepts.

Tourism Flow—The Market is Growing Rapidly Kyrgyzstan is experiencing a tourism boom:
2025—5.3 million tourists (a 1,5x increase from 2024) 2026—forecast of ~12–13 million tourists
Tourism’s share of GDP—3.8% (74.37 billion soms in 2025), a 21,7% increase in one year
Kyrgyzstan possesses a unique heritage of functional clothing, shaped by a nomadic way of life and a mountainous environment—but its potential for modern outdoor design is yet to be fully realized.

JODOSH is a contemporary Kyrgyz outdoor brand that reimagines the principles of traditional nomadic clothing and adapts them to the needs of modern mountain tourism.
The brand concept is based on the intersection of three trends.
[1] Demand for mountain tourism and outdoor apparel is growing: the global sportswear market in the Asia-Pacific region is valued at $85.4 billion, with a forecasted growth rate of 7,2% annually. [2] Ethno-motifs are the leading seasonal trend, according to Central Asia Fashion 2024/2025. [3] The Gorpcore style has integrated mountain wear into everyday wardrobes.
Kyrgyzstan is at the epicenter of these trends: it possesses both rich nature and a unique cultural code, alongside a growing audience.
SHARED CLASSROOM
The brand’s target audience consists of active, curious travelers for whom clothing is both a functional tool and a means of self-expression. They seek authentic engagement with the nature and culture of new territories, valuing practicality, individual style, and meaningful design. While traveling, they look not only for the experience of mountain landscapes but also for opportunities to connect with the heritage of nomadic peoples. They are drawn to clothing that merges contemporary streetwear aesthetics, the functionality of outdoor gear, and the recognizable cultural code of Kyrgyzstan.

Project Hypothesis: If we offer a tourist gear that is functional for mountain environments, meaningfully incorporates cultural codes, and is supported by strong storytelling, it will increase the product’s perceived value and the consumer’s willingness to pay for locality and quality.
JOLDOSH — a word in the Kyrgyz language that means «companion» or «traveling partner.» It reflects the core idea of the brand: being a reliable partner for people on their journey.

In the mountains, value is placed not only on preparation and gear, but also on experience, mutual support, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions. Joldosh translates these principles into contemporary apparel, reinterpreting the functional solutions of the traditional Kyrgyz costume.
The brand does not act as a mentor, but as an experienced companion—someone who knows the terrain, shares knowledge, and helps you move forward. Its name unites functionality, the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan, and the idea of a shared journey.
We reinforce the name Joldosh with a visual code.
In ancient Kyrgyz script, the letter «ж» does not exist; instead, «й» was used, so «jołdoš» sounded like «ołdoš.» We use this form in our identity: the word «yoldoš» in the Bitik runes becomes the signature mark. This creates a connection between the modern brand and ancient traditions.
