Startup Thesis Concept
Thesis Topic: «Archival Heritage as a Resource for Creative Industries. New Models for Research and Cultural Product Creation»
The «TAM» Archival Bureau is a startup in the creative industries that helps transform private, artistic, and corporate archives into a resource for creating new cultural products.

The bureau works with the archives of artists, designers, fashion brands, families, and organizations. It combines archival research, material systematization, expert analysis, concept development, and project production. Based on the studied archive, various products can be created—exhibitions, books, catalogs, films, digital projects, educational programs, and others that meet the owner’s archival goals.
The studio’s primary mission is to preserve historical materials, determine their cultural and commercial potential, and then propose methods for realizing that potential.
Problem Statement and Relevance
Private, artistic, and corporate archives often remain unstructured and underutilized. Disparate documents, photographs, sketches, and other materials require systematization, research, and professional interpretation.
The archive’s current theme is highly relevant. Memory politics is the dominant trend of the decade.
Archival Bureau Operational Principle
We consider archival materials as the source material for research and the creation of new meanings.
The work is structured around three areas: organization, research, and development.
Business Model
The Archive Bureau operates as a project-based company, earning revenue through service provision and the production of cultural projects.
Primary Clients:Artists and Heirs. Owners of artistic archives interested in material systematization, preservation of creative heritage, and the creation of exhibitions, publications, and other cultural products.Collectors. Owners of art collections and archival materials who require cataloging, provenance and content research, storage organization, and the development of future usage strategies.Brands. Companies interested in researching their own history, systematizing archives, and utilizing historical materials for exhibitions, publications, collaborations, and new communication products.Additional Clients:Cultural Institutions. Museums, galleries, foundations, and research organizations that require archival expertise, material cataloging, and the development of cultural projects.Families and Private Individuals. Owners of family archives who need document and photograph systematization, preservation of family history, and the creation of family publications or digital archives.
Unique Value Proposition:
A full-cycle archival bureau that establishes a new standard for archival services and unlocks the cultural and commercial potential of heritage through the creation of relevant products and projects.

Startup Scalability
The archival bureau model can be applied to various types of archives. Primarily, the working methodology is replicated, not a specific cultural product. Each new archive requires individual research, but the core stages, documentation, evaluation system, and production principles can be standardized.
Project Visual Language
Pilot Project
The pilot project involves an investigation into the history and visual legacy of the fashion brand INSHADE using its archival materials: garments, sketches, photographs, collection documentation, and material samples. The project’s goal is to trace the evolution of the brand’s visual language, the development of its collections, and its connection to the cultural context of its time.

Archival materials allow us to trace the brand’s evolution and reveal its history within a broader cultural context.
