
About the competition

The primary objective is to craft a compelling narrative that is both emotionally resonant and easily comprehensible by utilizing AI-generated imagery. Contestants have to develop specific cues to direct the AI in producing images that align with the plot while preserving continuity in style, characters, and settings across various iterations.

Requirements
The AI Storytelling category celebrates projects that showcase expertise in crafting narratives through AI-generated visual content.
The objective is to craft an engaging, coherent, and emotionally resonant narrative using a sequence of images that collectively unfold a profound and captivating story.
We welcome both individual and team participants, including student projects, coursework, and theses. Students and graduates from any educational institutions and design courses who completed their studies within the past year are eligible to take part. Projects can be presented in Russian or English. Contestants are expected to present a final narrative, along with documentation of the prompt’s creation process and any pertinent comments about the story and its evolution.
Prospective participants are encouraged to review the methodological recommendations specific to each nomination category before entering the competition.

Jury
- Vadim Bulgakov — the chairman of the jury. He teaches at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL while also working as a designer at HSE Design Lab. His background includes experience as a designer, art director, and digital producer, managing projects and product development from beta to launch at Lapka, Baselance, Papaton Kids, and CardPlace- Oleg Pashchenko — a curator in the «Design and Programming» profile at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, as well as a media artist, designer, and illustrator who has been honored as a prize-winner at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival - Oleg Tserbaev — a seasoned advertising photographer with a 15-year career, having worked with reputable clients such as Apple, Avito, Deutche Bank, Elle, and Playboy. He also shares his expertise as a photography and neural networks instructor at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL - Dmitry Soshnikov — a computer specialist and the coordinator of academic programs in the Microsoft Strategic Technologies Department - Stanislav Milovidov — a senior lecturer at the Institute of Media at the HSE University
