HSE x ITS: Art of Reframe. The Alternative Cinema Poster Competition
Piter FM (2006)
Piter FM with English and Russian subtitles is a 2006 Russian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Oksana Bychkova and starring Ekaterina Fedulova, Yevgeny Tsyganov and Alexey Barabash.
Masha, who works for a radio station, and Maxim, a street sweeper with an architectural degree, cross paths with each other when they are at an indecisive point in their lives.
(1) Alternative Poster This poster depicts Masha and Maksim’s footprints on a zebra crossing which is the first time there is an interaction between the two of them. This is where Masha’s phone falls and is found by Maksim.
The blue background depicts a melodramatic atmosphere with blue footprints for Maksim which is his iconic jacket. Pink footprints to depict Masha.
(2) Alternative Poster This poster describes the situation of Masha and Maksim who repeatedly want to meet to return Masha’s phone, but never meet until the end of the film.
The title of the film is made like a building with different heights using 3d techniques. Above it are the two main characters, Masha and Maksim who are in different letters. Hopefully this poster can describe their situation where it is difficult to meet.
(3) Alternative Poster This poster consists of 2 main elements, namely the mic that Masha uses to broadcast the radio and her red jacket. Inside the mic are silhouettes of iconic things from Piter FM. Like Masha’s cellphone that fell on the zebra crossing.
(5) Alternative Poster This poster uses one main element, namely a cassette with its cable pulled out in waves to form the title of the film, Piter FM.
There is also a silhouette of our two characters, Masha and Maksim who are again in the same place but cannot meet because of the cassette cable. The background of this poster uses a yellow-orange color that is quite dominant and iconic in this film and hopes to provide a pleasant atmosphere so that readers of the poster are interested in watching this film.
(6) Alternative Poster Again with the cassette as the main element, but this time with the concept of a cable coming out of the cassette hole leading forward and becoming as if a crossing path passed by Masha and Maksim.
The contrasting visuals of Masha and Maksim depict the initial scene of this film where they pass each other but do not yet know each other. The colors used are predominantly purplish blue and prominent orange so that in addition to good visuals, it also gives a dominant impression in orange.
