About Competition

The international student HSE CREATIVE OPEN online competition on the basis of HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL

The goal of the competition is to gather original ideas and spectacular projects in all areas of design, contemporary art and fashion on one platform and to gain the attention of the creative community to the development of jobs in the industry.

Students from any university, regardless of the location they are based at, can participate in the competition.

About the nomination

The identity of cultural institutions and events such as museums, galleries, theaters, festivals, celebrations, and sports competitions is one of the most exciting challenges in visual communication. The ability to conceive and implement a compelling and effective concept that reflects the unique spirit of an institution or festival is not just a valuable skill, but an entire field of creative endeavor that requires competent specialists.

We welcome innovative projects that expand the boundaries of traditional concepts of identity.

You can submit real or imaginary projects to participate.

Terms and requirements

The final project has to consist of:

• A vertical cover with A4 proportions. The role of the project cover is extremely important—it serves as the «face» of the project, representing it in the competition nomination. Please approach the design of the cover with care and responsibility.

• Title of the work.

• A description of the concept, no more than 800 characters.

• A series of 6 to 15 slides showcasing the application of the identity across various mediums.

Evaluation criteria

• Precision and novelty of the project concept;

• Professional technical execution;

• Logical and persuasive presentation.

Competition stages

October 31 — start date to upload projects on the platform

April 15 — project submission deadline

The prizes
